it appears that my trip up to new york this weekend has been canceled. by someone who isn't even putting up any money to make it happen. that's right, daddy-o has decided that i can't go to new york this weekend, despite the fact that this trip hasn't involved him at all, from the planning all the way down to the execution, and also despite the fact that when i told him a week or so ago, he said that as long as he didn't have to pay for it, he didn't care. for someone who talks so much about the importance of doing what you say you're going to do and having "integrity", he certainly is going back on his word. it appears that there's nothing i can do but "be patient" and go on about my business and hopefully be able to go up at a later date. let's ignore the fact that right now, before i start working, would be the perfect time because once i do start working i probably won't have the time to go up and visit. let's also ignore the fact that he's not paying for a single part of this trip- not the airfare, not my expenses while i'm there, he's not even bringing me to the airport on the day of my flight! wtf.
