a letter from the editor

dear reader,

it looks like you've stumbled across my new blog, you lucky devil.. welcome!

just so you know, i'm starting this at the urging of a friend.

since you're here, maybe you want to know a little more about me. maybe you don't. if that's the case, turn back now because the point of this particular post is to let you into my head a little. it's an orientation of sorts.

i'm a pretty simple person. i'm just a southern girl who wanted to expand my horizons while i earn my degree, so i moved to new york city to attend college. yes, i am living the dream. i share a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the upper west side of manhattan with a slew of hotties that i'm sure you'll become accustomed to as this thing progresses, so i won't bother introducing them individually right now. this thing is about me, after all.

i'm turning 19 very very soon, but since that day hasn't come yet, i'm legally obligated to say i'm 18. (okay, i'm not really legally obligated. but i think it lends an air of legitimacy to this whole thing if imply that i am) i'm easily amused, opinionated, and a little bit of a wild child, but without the negative connotation that the phrase seems to carry these days. (thanks to certain young self-proclaimed "wild child" heiresses and starlets who give the rest of us a bad name) i like to party, so i'm sure i'll have countless tales to tell of the new york exploits of me and my troop of hilarious, interesting, extremely attractive friends. if you ever want to join us, just shout me a holler. we're an ever-expanding troop. as long as you're funny, interesting, and extremely attractive, that is.

but i digress..
(something i do quite often, by the way.)

i don't really have any interesting or profound philosophies on life. i just try to have fun. i'm pretty much a textbook libra, so maybe that'll shed a little light on my personality. (for those of you in class who don't know the characteristics of a libra gal, i've got a little homework assignment: www.astrology.com. look up libra. that's me.)

but that's enough orientation. it's time for some interesting stories. i feel like i should admit that i may tell a lie or two, and i'm fond of exaggeration, but i'll always let you know when.
